How quickly can an enquiry get confrimed?
We aim to respond to all enquiries with a sample menu within 24 hours or provide a bespoke menu within a further day, if necessary.
What’s Tristan's favourite menu we offer?
It has to be our British Pub Classics dinner buffet—inspired by the simple, comforting meals you enjoy over a pint at the pub. I’ve always loved a classic sausage and mash at my favourite pub in Wimbledon. My first kitchen job was with Young’s Pubs, so pub food is something I know a thing or two about.
how does pricing work?
Most of our pricing is based on a ‘per head’ or ‘per item’ model. This allows us to provide clear, transparent costs when we send your confirmed production order. We previously used hourly rates for many of our services, but clients often found it difficult to gauge their final cost. We believe that pricing per person or per item is the fairest and most straightforward approach.
Can I make my own package?
If we don’t currently offer what you’re looking for, please get in touch. SMITHYS is an ever-growing business, and we want to provide the services you need. Creating bespoke packages is central to what we do — and we don’t charge a fortune for the privilege.
What are the steps between enquiry and event delivery?
After your initial enquiry, we’ll send you a sample menu or create a bespoke option if you prefer. Once you've selected your dishes, we'll prepare a production order outlining everything you’ve chosen, along with any additional services — such as waiting staff — and an estimated cost. At this stage, we’ll request a 50% deposit to confirm your order. After that, there’s nothing more you need to do. The SMITHYS team will take care of organising your services and preparing for the big day.
